MY JOURNEY
From curiosity to cybersecurity.
THE BEGINNING
It started with curiosity.
My fascination with technology began not just with using digital systems, but with asking the deeper question: how do they actually break? That persistent drive to understand system internals, security flaws, and attack logic pushed me to pursue a dedicated career in offensive security.
THE FOUNDATION
B.Sc. Cyber Security
My academic journey gave me the foundation I needed to turn my curiosity into something more structured.
I graduated with a B.Sc. in Cyber Security from REVA University, finishing with a CGPA of 9.08 and graduating as a Gold Medalist.
For me, the gold medal wasn't just an achievement. It was confirmation that the effort I was putting into understanding cybersecurity was taking me in the right direction.

GETTING HANDS-ON
Learning by doing.
Alongside my degree, I started exploring cybersecurity through hands-on platforms like TryHackMe.
What started as a way to practice what I was learning quickly became one of the most important parts of my learning journey. I worked through rooms and challenges covering areas such as web security, networking, Linux, privilege escalation, and other security fundamentals.
TryHackMe taught me something that theory alone couldn't: understanding a security concept is one thing, but actually applying it against a target is where the learning becomes real.
BUILDING PRACTICAL SKILLS
Turning curiosity into practical skills.
Alongside my academic foundation, I started focusing more on hands-on security training and practical offensive security.

eJPT
My first major step into structured penetration testing, helping me strengthen the fundamentals of network and web security through practical assessment scenarios.

eWPT
Deepening my focus on web application security and learning to approach applications from an attacker's perspective.

ICCA
Expanding my security knowledge into cloud environments and understanding the fundamentals of securing cloud infrastructure.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
BSides Bangalore 2026
Cybersecurity is more than learning from courses and labs. Being part of the security community gives me an opportunity to learn from practitioners, researchers, and other security enthusiasts.
In July 2026, I attended the Security BSides Bangalore Annual Cybersecurity Conference, where I got to experience technical talks, research presentations, workshops, hacking villages, panel discussions, and other activities from the cybersecurity community.

FIRST PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY
From learning to doing it professionally.
My first professional opportunity in cybersecurity came through an internship at SecIQ Technologies LLP, where I got the opportunity to receive hands-on training and develop my understanding of web security.
What started as an internship became an important turning point in my journey. I was able to learn in a professional environment, work with real-world security concepts, and understand how penetration testing is approached beyond labs and learning platforms.
After my internship, I was fortunate to receive a full-time opportunity at SecIQ Technologies LLP. I joined on 3 July 2025, and the experience since then has given me valuable exposure to cybersecurity, penetration testing, and continuous learning.
Since joining, I've had the opportunity to grow from someone learning the fundamentals into a security professional who is continuously exploring, testing, and understanding how real-world systems can be secured.
One of the highlights of this journey was receiving the Best Newbie Award at SecIQ Technologies LLP — a recognition that made my early professional journey especially meaningful.
WHERE I'M GOING
The journey doesn't have a final destination.
Cybersecurity is constantly changing, and so is my understanding of it. There is always another system to understand, another vulnerability to investigate, and another concept to learn.
I'm continuing to build my skills through hands-on work, research, labs, and real-world security assessments.
I don't have everything figured out — and I'm okay with that.
For me, the goal is simple:
- Keep learning.
- Keep questioning.
- Keep breaking things.
- Keep building.
And wherever this journey takes me, I want to remain curious enough to keep asking:
“How does this actually work?”
